I went to Stop & Shop yesterday after work. When I got home, my mother was standing at the door, waiting.

"You're late."

"I left a note this morning saying that I was going to Stop & Shop after work."

"I know. You were taking a long time."

"It's 6:15."

"Yeah."

Sigh. I need to sell my house ... soon.

does mom live with you? or was she just checking up on you?

either way.... it is nice that you have someone looking out for you.

Right now, I'm living with her while I try to sell my house. She's great, but it's hard living with someone after living alone for so long ...

what i wouldn't give... to have that opportunity again.

I live alone now.... I am all alone...

Needra,
Did you lose your parents? I live alone and I do get lonely but I would not move back in w/my parents. It was a negative setting.
I like visiting them and sometimes spending the night. That's it.

Ditto -- me, too. I love my mom sooooo much, but it's difficult going back. I think a long weekend is as much as I can reasonably do ... and she probably feels the same way. After all, I'm coming into her house. I'm sure she'd rather have things go back to normal ... :-)

i have no siblings... no relatives... nothing.

but i have lots of friends to make up for it....

Oh, gosh. That's horrible! I'm sorry to hear that. I'm glad you have people you can count on, though. That's important. I hope they're good friends. :-)

Thank you!
I am just now figuring out who really is a good friend, and who isn't.

but that's life....
