My first blog post is up at the Huffington Post!

It's a short piece to introduce myself. I have to admit, it is quite a thrill to see my name in print -- or, more accurately, on the screen.

You can read the piece here.

And don't worry, I won't forget you ... right away. :-)

WAY COOL!!!!

great blog entry

I feel the same way. TV is just not cutting it these days. I wish my family would give it up for the summer too.

I think giving up tv in general, especially for the summer, is a great idea. Last summer after an illness that kept me from doing much else but being on the couch for a while, I discovered there was nothing on t.v. worth watching EXCEPT my beloved Mets. So I became even more of a Mets fan, watching every game, reading every article in the paper the next day, learning box scores. I don't think it would be the same just listening to the games on the radio and reading about them the next day. I love the live action and baseball is like ballet to me, so beautiful to watch.

Very nice entry, Maria! I'm going to depend on you to keep me up with all things pop and culture realted, since half the time I'm more or less completely out of it!
